Jackie is the owner of Live to Play. Athletically, she was not blessed with the gift of coordination, but rather awkwardness and asthma. A love of physical play led her to an early sports career in high level competitive Taekwondo, and some Brazilian Jiu Jitsu, amongst other bits and pieces of various sports.
In 2008, an ATV accident left her with a broken back, which led to her journey of strength in therapy. At Live to Play, Jackie does mostly one-on-one sessions with either training or some type of clinical therapy (injuries, imbalances, movement, etc).
***Due to Jackie’s high demand and international schedule with seminar instruction, she is only available on a LIMITED appointment-only basis. Please contact her at firstname.lastname@example.org directly to schedule. She is typically only in Taiwan for a week or two at a time a few times a year, but you can see when she is in neighboring countries as well, if you’re in the mood for travel.***
She takes a therapy-oriented approach to strength and conditioning. She is certified through the RKC system as a Hardstyle Kettlebell Certified coach, Functional Movement Systems, Dynamic Neuromuscular Stabilization (DNS), Functional Movement Systems (FMS), Active Release Techniques (ART) and Neurokinetic Therapy. She has experience with elderly and pre/during/post-pregnancy training, but specializes in athletes and injuries.
She is the head instructor for Asia’s Neurokinetic Therapy (NKT) seminars, which includes hundreds of medical doctors, physical therapists, and trainers from Taiwan, Hong Kong, Singapore, South Korea, and Malaysia. Jackie takes an active approach to learning various types of strength, movement, physical rehabilitation, and other forms of therapy from the best, and then brings the best of those principles back to the Live to Play coaches so they can constantly improve as well.
